Planting Guide Summary

SPACING

• 12" - 18" between plants

• 3' - 4' between rows

• Planting depth is important- see our diagram in the Planting Guide

WATERING

• Water thoroughly after planting

• Maintain good moisture throughout the season (1" - 2" rainfall per week or equivalent)

FERTILIZATION

• Mix complete fertilizer into soil prior to planting

• Add supplementary fertilizer during August and September

• Consult planting guide for details

WEED CONTROL

• Prepare your site prior to planting

• Remove weeds during growing season

• Mulch will assist with weed control

WINTER PROTECTION

• Cover plants with straw to protect the crowns from winter

• Apply mulch after several good frosts

• Remove mulch early in spring before new growth starts
