SPACING
- 22"

- Planting
depth 1" - 2" deeper than nursery soil
line
- Be
sure roots are covered with 2" of soil
WATERING
- Soak
plants 2 hours in a pail of water using Agri-Gel
prior to planting
- Water
thoroughly after planting
- Maintain
good soil moisture until plants are well established
- Maintain
good moisture throughout the season (1" - 2"
rainfall or equivalent each week)
WEED
CONTROL

Prepare your planting site prior to planting to
minimize weed pressure
- Raspberries
may be planted through black plastic for weed control
the establishment year; or use an organic straw
mulch
- Remove
weeds during the growing season
FERTILIZATION
- Mix
a complete fertilizer into your sil prior to planting
- Add
supplementary fertilizer in July to maximize growth

TISSUE
CULTURE PLUG PLANTS
Some
raspberry varieties are sold as tissue culture plugs.

Considerations :
- Plant
so the top of the plug is covered with 1/2 inch
of soil

spray green leaves weekly during the establishment
period of three weeks
