Q--
I have recently checked my strawberry plants and have found a large number of blackfly (I was told by a professional that it is blackfly) nestled in the stems and under the flowers. They are currently eating the leaves and berries so they are dying and I am removing them everyday! If i continue to remove dead berries and leaves, there will be no plant left! What should I do to be rid of them.

A--
A general insecticide should work well. I would harvest the berries, apply the insecticide and wait 2-3 days or until the label says it is safe to harvest. If they return, apply again in 7-10 days.
