Renovation

I am still in the process of renovation. So far I have ran the multivator through once and then a 2 shank chisel (which worked great). Now the plants look really great. The plants are about 4-5 inches tall now. I know that I am running behind, as usual. I bought some new tines for the multivator that are actually a little longer which is really good because now the machine is turning under the straw much better. I put the shields back on the heads today because Tim thought it would be a good idea, since the plants are so far along (i suppose we did not want smash the foilage down with the dirt). I am tearing up a few plants on the edges of the row since the tines a new and it is not possible to drive down the exact tracks that I drove down the first time around. I just want to get your thoughts about where I stand. I am always wondering if I am hurting the yield. I know the general answer would be "don't fall behind in the renovation process and you won't have to worry", but a little positive reinforcement from a master strawberry grower like yourself would be relieving.
Thanks

Renovation is often difficult, people don't like tearing up a nice bed. However, Thinning the row is part of the process and will result in better production next year. Try to keep the plants well watered and pest free and they will preform well for you.
