Q-
I need some help on pruning for black raspberries.  I have read the instructions on pruning but need some help.  The plants have just finished producing fruit.  There is some new plants that have grown to heights of 6-8 feet and 1 inch in diameter!  Do I need to prune these back (and how far) and when do I do it?

Also, when do I prune the rest of the plants and what parts am I suppose to prune?  I am not clear on how to prune these.

Thanks,
Gregg

Prune or tip new plants to 5-6 feet.

Remove all old canes.

Leave 6-8 canes per foot of row.

Thanks for the help/info. One other question I have is when do you prune these - do I do it now?

Thanks,
Gregg
